Girl: Say what you will about store bought chocolate chip cookies...They're a lot harder to sneak raisins into.
Miss Plainwell: Some of us like raisins in our cookies.
Girl: You don't eat cookies. You eat pressed granola.
I have no problems with raisin cookies… when I’m in the mood for a raisin cookie. But it’s really disappointing to bite into one expecting chocolate and get raisins instead.
And I don’t know why oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, the best of both worlds, aren’t more popular.
I love eating raisins right out of the package, but once they are cooked, YUCK. I guess I miss out on a lot of cinnamon bread and oatmeal cookies, but I don’t mind.
I agree, especially about the raisins. You need to have a talk with my hubby. He eats raisins by the box and grapes by fist full…and we’ve had the same bottle of wine sitting in the frig for 15 years. I’d rather have the wine myself, but can’t drink it anymore.

I agree, kid. I don’t want old dried up grapes in my cookies either.

I doubt Ms Plainwell would ever have 6 cookies for lunch, and look what it’s done for her :)

I prefer raisin cookies to chocolate chip. Always have.

Say what I will? Okay, no storebought cookie is worthy of the name “cookie”.

I have the opposite problem, finding chocolate chips when I was expecting raisins. Yuck.

Better – that’s what it would be…

That this strip’s been up for almost 12 hours and no one has mentioned cranberries yet makes me question my faith in humanity.

Thus, the cookie crumbles. Sorry, someone had to say it

You must admit, however, that raisins in your oatmeal cookie is better than several desiccated Musca domestica.

Every box of raisins is a tragic story of grapes that should have been wine….

Instead of raisins, I prefer craisins (dried cranberries). Gives a nice zing. And of course, it should still have chocolate chips, preferably dark.
