Caulfield: This was going to be the easiest, best report ever. But I believed those very "facts" and let my guard down. And now: nothing but disaster. Frazz: How was your report on the titanic? Caulfield: Mrs. Olsen doesn't get allegory at all.

This message is specifically for Scoonz… in case you did not notice I had replied to your message from Saturday:Scoonz… sorry for the delay. There was a death in my family and I have not visited here at GoComics for several days. My comment about you not asking about my nickname was meant as a joke… because my nickname seemed (at least to me) to be an “obvious” one unlike some others. Yes, I am a pipe smoker.

When allegory doesn’t work, head for a semblance of realism: sing, “Nearer My God To Thee,” pour a glassful of ice cubes over your head, and say, “Glug-glug.” Frazz can mop up.

Have no fear Caulfield — it wasn’t you. The truth of the matter was Mrs. O has never gotten over a severe case of Leonardo DiCrappio enamoration. It haunts her dreams and stifles her objectivity.

Yes, Caldwell, you’re so much smarter than everyone else, maybe YOU should teach the damn class.
