    At my gym, they’re the “Resolutioners.” Usually by the end of February, a handful have been absorbed into the gymnosphere; the rest shaken off like dead skin.

    Usually the gyms around here try to cash in on this by offering “Holiday Health” packages.

    JackiAnneI thought a gymnosphere was a geodesic nudist resort. (Go back to the etymological Greek for that one.)

    It is the “verbal elite” who know when it’s all right to use the perfectly legitimate “ain’t.” I had a professor in my grad school years who loved using the word. You can get a dictionary as a free app if you want to learn about this — or any other — words in the English language. I’m here to serve.

    I recall reading that fitness spas get their profits from the people who purchase memberships and then rarely, if ever, show up. I don’t go every day of the week, but I figure that I’m getting decent value for my money.
