Frazz by Jef Mallett for February 07, 2016
Transcript:
Girl: Here's a nice quote: "Because you say something, ask yourself: (1) is it true? (2) Is it kind? (3) Is it necessary?" Socrates. Frazz: Is that true? Girl: Sure! I got it off......the internet. Frazz: "Two out of three ain't bad." Girl: My phone says that was either Meat Loaf or Fibonacci.

Source, please. I have read the dialogs and do not recall such instructions from Socrates.
However, I have also read the Digha Nikaya and clearly remember that formula being urged by Gotama Buddha. Interesting if they each found the same criteria for speech: they were near contemporaries.pumaman almost 9 years ago
