What, “haughty, smug and quasi-intellectual” isn’t personal? Do tell. And by the way, people use room sprays for many purposes, including covering kitchen and pet odors. Any “bathroom humor” you find in today’s strip is only in your own bathroomy mind.
Always fun to read comments that ignore the topic and, instead, get personal. And to see the hypocrisy of people who answer what they consider to be mean-spirited posts with something even meaner. Get back to the strip…”
What is even more fun is to see a troll doing the exact thing he is accusing someone else doing!
To answer your question, yes I thought today’s strip was kind of clever, it wasn’t the best that Jeff has ever done but it was hardly offensive. My interpretation was that the little boy thought he could use room freshener to literally cover up the smell of the quiz that he “stunk up”. Yes there is a slightly scatological hint to the punch-line but so what, I don’t know if anyone has told you but most people think f@rts are kind of funny.
Once again, I have to ask why you are here if you hold this strip in such contempt. I took a look at your profile (not intrusive, any member can do it) and every entry I could see was a criticism of Frazz. Sorry to break it to you but that kind of behavior borders on the obsessive, take a break man it’s only a comic strip.
Tom Flapwell: Actually, the Comics Curmudgeon site welcomes cleverness. Sniffy little rants like bigpuma’s are either ignored or ridiculed.
Redkaycei Repoc: You might refer back to Tom Lehrer’s “All books can be indecent books / though recent books are bolder / For filth, I’m glad to say / is in the mind of the beholder.”

I believe they’re referring to how well he did on the test, rather than any gaseous outburst.

Advice for bigpuma: Ever heard of the Comics Curmudgeon? That site actually welcomes gripes like yours.

Look at how much time and effort we’ve wasted on one insignificant Troll and all we’ve done is feed into his fantasy that he actually matters
