My middle son read a Tom Clancy novel one summer. He turned in an essay that was thoroughly redacted. Then he told his Teacher that she would have to be read into the program before she could see the original document. She gave him extra credit for the effort.
One of the great lines in the American songbook is in Paul Anka’s “My Way” and goes, “Regrets; I’ve had a few, but then again, too few to mention.” In Sinatra’s voice, it comes off like a guy who did plenty of damage but just isn’t, shall we say, prone to uncomfortable introspection.
If a regret is a screw-up you either could not or would not turn into something more productive, like experience, then I guess not giving a shit would be one way to have too few regrets to mention. But I like the other way. It’s good to have options, because I seriously doubt I’m done screwing up.

A thoughtful turn on an old method. Could have revealed some talented writers and been fun reading for a change

For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, “It might have been.” – John Greenleaf Whittier

Panel two “I didn’t not give up?” Can anyone parse this sentence for me? (I gave up!)
