    If Fred’s anything like my dog - he’ll “tidy-up”

If I’m cooking and anything spills on the floor, he’ll come along and hoover it up…

He’ll sit there watching hoping something will drop off the edge of the counter.

Fred is going to make a huge mess of things. And as always, his owners will show some displeasure when they retrun and see the turbulence with things all strewn about.

But of course, he won’t really be punished. A little show of fear in his eyes and heart. a little scolding by the Mr,, some scornful glances by the Mrs., & he’ll “rummage around” again the very next time they leave him alone.

Its my fault. I should have locked the bottom cabinet. I shouldn’t have left food on the counter top. I should have locked and chained that ladder in the garage.

I had a dalmation mix like that. He ate the remainder of a honey baked ham one Friday after Thanksgiving. We came home to find him enjoying the bone.

Who keeps food on the bottom shelves where the dog (or small kids) can rummage?
