If you don’t work outside the home, by choice, then your contribution to the household is keeping the house. I know several men who have chosen this option. There is nothing wrong with doing so, most households just can’t afford to be one-income. If you can afford this option, and either one in the relationship wants to be a homemaker, then that’s their career. And it’s hard work to do correctly. It is a respectable and worthy option.
