My wife has a beagle/basset about 8 yrs old. Constantly looking for a way out, patrolling the fence line just in case. Whenever he gets out he goes 2 houses down the rural blacktop and begs for treats. So..we just drive down, open the back door of the truck and ask, “Jack, want to go for a ride?” Works every time.
