Reminds me of our cat who came galloping through the kitchen expecting to continue into our bedroom and looked up in enough time to try stopping and then turned herself so her backside slammed into the closed door instead of her head.
way years ago we had a pair of kittens. Mom waxed the kitchen floor and let them in. They flew through the kitchen and rolled into the living room. Years later we had a Lhasa who discovered it was fun sliding on a long cardboard box.
Our corgi would race down the hall (polished wood floor) to the front door when it was time for walkies. Just so that he wouldn’t go for an undignified skate on the rug, he soon learned to wait until one human foot anchored it down.
