I use the can to chop the wet food into pieces to make it easier to eat .

I’m sure Fred prefers Perrier in the water bowl or, in a pinch Evian (sin gas of course).

Obviously Dear has never watched cooking shows where they teach presentation is as important the. meal itself. Nevertheless, one big chomp off the top and all is forgiven.

I remember agreeing to house sit for my mom when her dog was getting older. She gave me a literal recipe to feed her dog. It was like half a cup of canned food with a couple of tablespoons of dry food mixed in, and a jerky-like dog treat crumpled up on top. I felt a little bit jealous because I realized she was putting more effort into prepping that dog’s dinner than she did for her kids’ dinner when we were growing up.

Lately I have to spoon feed my dog Abby her “special “ canned food from the vet when we get to the third day of refrigeration. Not that she’s a princess or anything…

I was taught as a child to cut the canned food into small chunks in order to keep the dog from chomping too big a mouthful if the food was just pushed out of the can as is the case here. Maybe overdoing things, but that’s what I did both as a kid and as an adult when I had dogs. (More for practicality than finesse, lol).
