There’s nothing like one of the old westerns , and I mean the old ones, when the good guys always won and the hero and heroine got together and rode off into the sunset. Plots were simple, no hidden themes or messages. Just feel good movies.
So many “rope” operas instead of soap operas. Gunsmoke in Kansas, Big Valley in California, Bonanza in Nevada, High Chaparral in Arizona, The Rifleman in New Mexico, and The Virginian in Wyoming. Tales of Wells Fargo, Wanted Dead or Alive, Wagon Train, Rawhide. The list goes on!

Me too, Fred! If not happy, at least explainable.

I don’t understand the appeal of wandering off into the sunset. It just means your going to end up far from home and in the dark.

Sometime it depends on the movie and my mood, Fred, but as a general rule I’d agree with you.
