With our school district the students are always selling something to raise money for “school.” Most of us wish that we could just give the school money and not have to bother our co-workers to buy something and then deliver it later. Irritating since we get a list of office supplies for the classroom that gets bigger every year.
Unfortunately, that is not the case in the US. The teachers colleges consistently have the students wiht the lowest SAT scores and the lowest GRE scores. Most teachers did not intend to follow that field of study. Thry could not keep up in their chosen field, so they transfered to the teachers college because it was easier.
