Been to Arizona — nice enough. No interest in Vegas (never understood why anyone would want to go). I like Mexico, but the cartels make safety a legitimate concern. As if there weren’t less compromised places that are just as nice.
How about south Florida! If you don’t want the glitz and glamour of Miami, you could visit the west coast of the state like Naples. Beautiful beaches, friendly locals, a lot of nice places to see and things to do. My in-laws live there and we love visiting them there.
