Of course, Nate could try and apply himself to his studies, for a change, and become eligible for some scholarships; LOTS of those are out there for the asking- but the ‘fees’ take the form of high enough marks to make the student worth the risk of the funding. I think he’d be Much better off if his parents (And grandparents) started pushing the idea of self-discipline and personal responsibility; putting a bit of ‘I am the Master of my Fate, and the Captain of my Soul’ into his mindset.
