Since the fall change always used to come on the weekend that Hallowe’en parties occurred (thus extending bar time) it was never “fall back”; it was always “drink forward, fall down”.
I love living in a place with NO daylight savings time. There aren’t any timezones, either so that might be hard on the people in the western provinces.
I drew on all my insult sources, from Pliny the Elder to Cicero to Mark Twain to Winston Churchill, and couldn’t come up with anything bad enough to insult this strip.
(Hey! Not bad, huh? Too bad I didn’t think of that yesterday.)
BTW, I read that the number of reported heart attacks is lower than average on the Monday after the fall back, and higher than average on the Monday after spring forward. It didn’t say, but I’ll bet that the average of the two days in higher than the overall average.
I never notice that extra hour, but I sure do notice losing the hour. The hourglass is always half empty for me.
RayC: We stay on MST year ‘round here. Coming from the Midwest, I love not having to change the time twice a year. Now, will the comics change an hour earlier? I guess I’ll find out soon.
Weird how humans are the only ones worried about time and time change. The sunrises and sets at the same time every day. We just don’t know it because of time watching.
One way to settle the debate over time change: keep Fall as is, so we get an extra hour’s sleep. Change the Spring time-shift to 2pm on a Friday so we get to the weekend one hour earlier. The Spring shift always happened during my vacation, so my vacation was one hour shorter. Hated it.

The Frog Applausians, hooray! I’d go with “fall now”.
Can we be nice today, Teresa, or is it another ‘byotch’ day?

I hate DST too. Maybe I’ll move to “parts of Indiana”

I think they’ll change an hour later for you mountain folk. Too bad! Or maybe an hour earlier. It’s one of those, I’m sure.

I am SO glad to find that I am not the only one who HATES daylight savings time. Such a pain, and it serves no legitimate purpose.

I think one of the presidential candidates promised to roll it back 2 hours.

Spring has sprung, Fall has fell. Static has clung, It’s just as well.
I’ve always heard it as: Spring has sprung Fall has fell. Summer’s here and it’s hotter then usual.
