Sometimes I feel like a motherless child. Then I listen to Solomon Burke.

To feel completely rejected and to become obsessively antisocial is to follow bad advice.

To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is to be willing to die over and over again.

Thanks for introducing her to me.

Dear FA friends of Rotifer Thalweg

Oh my goodness. I’m afraid I have more sad news about my Rotty. The Lasagnatorium where he was receiving treatment reported that he escaped this morning just before lunch, and was last seen running through Bellagio scooping handfuls of pasta from the plates of guests dining at the many sidewalk cafes that line the main square. Rotty is a runner, and the men in the white coats with the large butterfly nets couldn’t keep up with him (if only that nice Miss Teresa had sent Rotty’s friend, that nice Mr. Vlad, to help with security at that facility).

    Sincerely,

    Mother Thalweg

peachy, did you know that “King” Solomon Burke just passed away a couple of days ago? We had the chance to see him a few years back and he still put on a great show, even though he was pretty much confined to his “throne” .

Actually, it looks to me as though Vlad would make a far better roadblock than he would a pursuer. Until he arrives, perhaps they could lease a semi.

    re: blog.

At first, it looked like the devil was trying to give Augustine an accordion. I guess that wouldn’t really have been that much of a temptation.

If URLAI is to be believed, you should, henceforth, be able to get away with racier stuff, Teresa. I hope you’ve sent the link to the ‘Overlords.’

I don’t think Edwin Booth looks at all like Dinero. he looks more like a young Vito Corleone

Dear FA Friends of Rotifer Thalwg

It was very sweet of that nice Miss Teresa to post that picture of me with the gift that my Rotty gave me last Christmas. It brought back pleasant memories of how nice he can be when he’s not reading Garfield. I don’t know how she finds time to be so nice with all that cartoonery she does.

A certain undesirable element hangs around here in the winter (mainly Jehovah’s Witnesses and College Republicans), and my Rotty knew I wanted something to help shoo them away. Here I’m pointing it at members of Vlad’s extended family, who were trying to squat on the area of my yard where the lateral lines from my septic tank are located).

    Sincerely,

    Mother Thalweg

Really liked that PLAYING IT SAFE video.

It reminds me a lot of a local park in Brooklyn, Ohio (Cleveland) called Memphis Kiddie Park (on Memphis Avenue.) It’s been operating since 1952 and is still going strong!
