Preening NOT pruning. Are you a bush?

Go home, little bird! I fear you’ll find no preening birds here. Sadly.

I had no idea that cetaceans are colorblind—since I learned this from the blog, does that make me lamer than said blog?

I am one of the one-in-eight men with red-green color blindness. Mine is a fairly mild case; my older brother’s is much more severe.

Mutual…. pruning, like they do on reindeer and certain other horny species?

Don’t you do the antler dance first?

The nature of that mural in Glasgow makes me wonder if the ceiling of the Roslyn Chapel means, in the end, nothing at all.

Dogsniff might have misread the comic. For a moment I thought it said pruning too.

I’m happy to not only not be colorblind, I’ve got pretty sensitive color vision. Back in the day when I did color darkroom work, I could easily see a CC05x difference in a print. And if I’m lucky, a couple of people here will know what that means.

Who needs a mate for preening? Just go to the salon/spa. If you need a mate for companionship, that’s a different matter.

The autojector that kept that severed head alive was an early artificial heart lung machine. The Wikipedia article links to a video of the device (Soviet propaganda film?) which is narrated by J.B.S. Haldane, one of my favorite mad scientists.
