Re: The Canadian $20.00 bill, America had its own censorship issue in 1917, when the “Standing Liberty” quarter – which, along with the St. Gaudens double eagle, I have long felt is the most beautiful coin we have ever produced – was provided with some chain mail to cover up an exposed breast.
In the Dumps—my goodness, what an accurate portrayal of childhood…I wonder if that was based on a real conversation? Seems plausible enough, given the players involved.
Every time FA hasn’t posted recently, another comic I read hasn’t posted either. And judging by the time of the initial comments in both places, they finally did post at the same time.
re: Blog – new Canadian $20… I just got a fifty and it blew me away – hadn’t bee aware of the new format! Even the teller at the bank where I got it was amazed by it, too. The 20s I got were still in the old format, tho’. I can’t imagine anybody trying to counterfeit those anytime soon.
Ha! Haven’t made me yet! You’re missing the hat I wear most often, as well as all of my more rarely worn ones (by which I mean to include the one I haven’t worn since I was in college). Ha! And, so there!
No, as a staunchly lapsed Catholic I find it an amusing comment on the Church’s own bigotry. Considering that their attacks on the GSA are based on some rather farfetched claims, I don’t see any reason to respect them here.

“за здоровье” means “for health,” but it is also the common Russian drinking salute, “Cheers!”

If someone is getting a boner from looking at a Canadian $20, they really need to get out more.

I don’t wear hats. I hate to think of where that leaves me.

Hunting Girl Scouts isn’t as dramatic as hunting witches, but the Vatican takes what it can get.

From the Frog Blog: When you look up the word hero in most Canadian dictionaries that same picture of Terry Fox is right beside it.
