A black and white comic strip?! Well, that does it! I’m going to call information on my rotary dial telephone to get the mailing address for Jim Davis at Paws, Inc. Then I’m going to hand write a nasty letter on yellow legal paper and mail it to him!

look carefully my comic fiend friends … the shadows are BEHIND Jon and Garfield, thus, making them shrouded in the beautiful glow of the idiot-tube … so therefore, there IS colour, it’s just washed out.

Just trying to save money, the colour pixels are a lot more expensive than the black and white ones.

Is it just me or does the style of the artwork seem slightly different (and I’m not talking about color)?

the problem isn’t jim, gocomics is the one who made it black and white.

Jade, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that thought the artwork looked different somehow. There is something different about Jon’s hair and something around the mouth isn’t right. Someone filling in for a day????

I think it looks cool. I also think the B&W effect possibly indicates both Jon and Garfield are staying up through the night gaming. LOL!

Those subtle changes your seeing are indeed there but they fit in so well with what’s happening because we’ve never seen Jon playing video games that I recall. All in all it’s very well done.

Adding princess, Jon’s old taste, and choosing your character together, I’d say he’s playing some form of Super Mario Bros. 2. Just a guess, though.

Ah, Garfield, always finding someway to make Jon complain about his life, eh?

It must be a week day strip from my local paper. You know that they are in B&W.

Jon and Garfield are playing at night with the lights off, so all they have is the glare from the TV which causes ‘washed out’ color. Needless to say Jon is going to be wearing glasses within five years and Garfield will be feeling his way around.
