Garfield is slipping. He has a full plate of food in the first panel and it is still there in the last. Garfield never eats that slow. By the last panel he should be finished with his and starting on Jon’s.
Pamlicorat: I think somewhere between panels, Garf whipped over to the all you can eat buffet and refilled his plate (probably a couple of times). He was so fast, we just didn’t see it. That’s why the plate is full in the first panel and also in the last. I can’t imagine him surviving on one plate of food!
