Some seem to be confused by the quiver and arrows. Pelosi told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week.”She said: “We have our options, we have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,”
She added: “We have a responsibility, we take an oath to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. We have a responsibility to meet the needs of the American people. When we weigh the equities of protecting our democracy, requires us to use every arrow in our quiver,”
Unfortunately for her and the dems, I don’t think she has anything in her quiver to stop the president from nominating someone and a the senate from approving that nominee.
Trump will name his nominee on Saturday, probably Amy Coney Barrett, and the Senate will schedule 3 days of hearings in October. The dems will decry the rushed process and demand additional hearings to satisfy their concerns about this shady woman and her religious faith. I don’t see Graham and the republicans allowing this as they did during the Kavanaugh debacle. But I may be giving them too much credit by assuming they’ve learned anything from that. The votes are there and Barrett (or whomever) will be approved before Nov. 3rd. There will be uncivil actions in the streets right after.
