    You turkeys could easily end up getting pounced and bounced by the audience. This could end up being more fun than I expected.

    I assume you’re referring to your complaining?

    The audience thinks all this is part of the show and they’re loving it.

    As for Not Norman’s complaining, no there is never an end to it! I’m glad we only have to read it, imagine what it must sound like to those who know him! Let’s be thankful we are not among them…

    Don’t worry, Skeezik will ask Sen. Bobble or Mayor Melba to put the fix in with the police and drop the charges.

    Continuity condundrum: If Gertie gets hauled off to jail, do you think even one of her kids will show up to help? Probably not.

    The crowd is eatting this up thinking its part of the show. The laughter must be roaring now. Hey Byrd you need to find out who the lady is. Uncle Walt don’t you recognize Gertie.

    Ok, you bellyachers best put yourselves in check. Judging from what I read from the rest of those tired of you, you are coming to the end of your rope and are about to be hung by being flagged. This is a space of joy and tranquility, NOT negative polution Enough is enough.

    I support you wholeheartily EarlWash!! I even commented a couple days ago…for the habitual complainers to dial 1-800-WAH-WAAH. with all their crying and tantrums. I enjoy this story arc with each new day and view it the first thing I do on my computer. Like I said before the art is WONDERFUL…and the story arc…….WONDERFUL TOO!!!

    Norman, if you don’t like the story arc, QUIT COMPLAINING AND STOP READING THE STRIP!!!!!! You are worse than my spoiled brat of a sister!

    found Walt’s image with a google image search “gasoline alley”…not sure if copyright violation, but I am making no money using it…

    been trying to figure out why Gasoline Alley is such a superior strip, and I guess it boils down to irony in every strip in some way shape or form.

    today’s irony- Gertie calling for the police, and stage manager saying that is exactly who is being called- the double entendres…lovely

    I suspect Byrd will end up playing Angel Eyes with Gertie next to him on stage and she will cry

    I’ve read Norman’s posts since ‘08, and I can tell you latecomers that it never really ends. Lately, though, he’s been more at a monotonous simmer than a full rolling boil. I could try to describe what that’s like, but many of you would think I was exaggerating or even making it up. You just had to *be* there. There are a few veterans of those dark days still around here. Lord help us, we may all see it happen again.

    Man, I love this strip and arc. I wonder what the longest arc ever is for a comic strip? Whatever it is, I hope Jim tops that with this one.

    Stringmuse, I guess BOIP is the sound pressing 9-1-1 makes.

    My cell phone ringing sounds like Steve Forbert’s Romeo’s Tune.

    Any second now and the evil head usher will be stunned by Gertie’s angel eyes and fall head over heels in love with her. Byrd will suddenly have competition and this story arc suddenly goes into round 3 or 4, I’ve lost track. President Obama will make a guest appearance and negotiate a truce between NotNorman and Macushlalondra, winning a second, retroactive Nobel Peace Prize. “To whom” will be added as an authorized variation in the dictionary of common usage and the second, superflous ‘l’ will be removed from the word ‘pollution’. sjbuchanan will be arrested for copywrite infringement and put in a cell with ORteka who is serving 7 consecutive 5 minute sentences for publishing erroneous telephone numbers. While Obama is here he will award Axegrinder and yours truly a Presidential Medal of Freedom for continued courage after surviving two years of NotNorman’s company. And, finally, stringmusicaner will have the onamonpea ‘boip’ tatooed on her bazoo in honor of Gasoline Alley.

    Dypak, if you are even 90% correct in your prognostications, the world of tomorrow will be a better place than the word of today. Good night.

    NotNormanChubsyUbsy said,

    If you don’t like my complaints about the strip, quit complaining and stop reading them. Simple, right? You too Macushla. Just remember - you missed me when I was gone. :)

    ~~~
    But in a GOOD way Not Norman, the same way you miss a toothache when it’s gone!
