This shows that Skez is much more involved in Walt’s life than previously indicated, a good thing!

Lord I could kill people who put Power of Attorney or Executor in my hand. Unfortunately they die before I have the chance.

Walt and Skeezix Vol.4 is now available on Amazon. It covers the years 1927-1928 and the great custody battle between Walt and Skeezix’s bilogical parents. No Sundays but you can get find those at rogerclarkart.com. It’s hard to believe but Skeezix will be 90 next year. Perhaps Jim will present us with many flashbacks.

Devon, a hired caregiver is just that, someone hired by the patient or his family to care for him - cook, clean, remind about the medicine, keep him company, etc. I would never have dreamed of giving my Dad’s caregiver power-of-attorney or responsibility to take care of his finances. That was my (or my brothers’) job.

Hey all my own husband knows about POA with his mother. Her oldest son lived to far away in AR to handle her affairs and she designated my husband her son, since there are only at that time two sons, as POA. he kept her inform until her death then he got with an attorney I help there to find one to keep the executive power going. Took a year of probate after her death she lived to be 88. She died in 1988 I think. She used most of her money as a private payer in a carehome. I was unable to lift her with two young kids. but I would have to accompany her to Dr. appoint. and relate to her son.
