    The inspiration source long since eluded me, but one of my many oft-repeated comments is a rule of recognized greatness in an author: He mastered the rules of the language well enough to take full advantage of mis-applying them.

    When an English teacher retired and student’s where allowed to sign a card, I deliberately wrote bad English and I’m no pro. I had fun.
