Does anyone remember seeing Frank Nelson playing this same character on Sanford & Son in the 70’s?

I Googled Frank Nelson—many YouTube videos of him—Jack Benny & Sanford & Son ones. I definitely think this comic character is based on Frank Nelson. On June 30 strip, this comic character started with the classic Nelson Yessssss.
Nice to mention Mel Blanc….I was thinking of him yesterday. Am enjoying this story line.
I do believe this happens in the real world and not just in this strip world.
