@ CFofFLThanks for the pointer yesterday, I missed last weeks strip. Since it’s one of the ones I look forward to every year I’m glad you said something about it.
Thanks so much. Your story has helped to set my day on it’s path. I took the time to read Matthew. Very good to remember, especially at this time of year.Have a good day!
There’s an old song I heard at a bluegrass festival a couple of weeks ago called “Driving Mary Home.” The story is that the singer picked up this little girl on a lonely road at night. She asked hem to drive her home. He did. When he got to the house, the back seat was empty. He knocked on the door and the lady who answered said the girl had been killed in a wreck 13 years ago. The last line says something like, You’re the 13th one so far to be driving Mary home." Could Jim have heard the same song?
Are you referring to Hebrews 13:2?Be not forgetful to entertain strangers. For thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Refers to the three angels whom Abraham entertained in his tent at Mamre – Genesis 18.
Of course, the punch line for the cobbler was in Matthew 25:37-40:
Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed Thee? Or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? Or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.

Maybe he was walking because he already sold the truck and delivered it to someone.
