Satchel says: "They're bad enough standing there in a dark alleyway...But it's when they GLIDE BY YOU...that they're the worst..." Satchel says: "The weird sounds...the chains...and HOW DO THEY MOVE? It's so UNNATURAL! For the love of-" Rob, Satchel, and Bucky are in a sporting goods store. Rob says: "Satchel! I just need to know if you could handle me buying this STATIONARY BIKE for exercise!" Satchel replies: "Oh, it doesn't actually move? Yeah, it should be OK." Bucky, looking at Satchel, says: "Freak."
I had a dog who absolutely despised bikes. He wouldn’t chase them, but he did keep a special eye on them on walks, and though he normally walked at heel, he would move to put himself between me and the bike. And he would growl as motorcycles went past. As he got older, he seemed to care less and less, until finally bikes could go by without him batting an eye. He never had any reactions to cars or joggers and even behaved around other dogs, so I always assumed that maybe he got his paw run over as a puppy or something. He was so sure they were going to hurt him, and really wasn’t the paranoid type, he was actually pretty rational and laid back.
