Transcript:
Bucky: Rob gave you a notebook, eh? What are you going to write next? Satchel: Next? Bucky: I'm sure you feel the need to express yourself and explore the canine condition now, just like everyone else who discovers writing. Satchel: Nnnnnope. Bucky: Sometimes I'd like to have your mind. Satchel: Well, you're welcome to it. I'm hardly ever using it.

I for one Satch would like to read your reflections on the canine condition.

On the plus side, he is at least aware of the fact that he’s not using it. …unlike so many humans we know. That puts him three steps ahead in my book.

Laurel and Hardy used a similar gag as well, which likely predates Abbott and Costello. A great joke never dies.

@Texas_Rose90What evidence or clue that Rob bought Bucky a notebook? We see Satch with one, presumably as encouragement to pursue his passion to write. Not so Bucky.

Smart isn’t what Satchel does. Look at that 3rd panel, gotta love him for being so sweet.

Never let your mind wander – it’s too small to be out on its own.

I love Bucky’s expression in the 4th panel. I feel like I look like that a lot of the time.

OMG My monitor almost got sprayed.
Satchel isn’t dumb. He is naive, sweet, trusting and just plain nice.

As Woody Allen said in “Sleeper” (about removing his brain)—not my brain that’s my second favorite organ! awww, Satch is all “heart” I envy his ability to just “be” ;)

Satchel may not use his mind much, but when he does he produces stuff that is far more beautiful that anything that Bucky – who claims to be always using his mind – has ever come up with. I wonder if it was like that for Einstein?

Does Satchel know Eddie from the Buckets? (though in truth the one without the brain is the teenager….)
