Jo, yeah, Bucky is the cutest cat astrophe waiting to happen….Although it is nice that Bucky is plugging the hole in the door..He’s a good kitty….Who’s a good kitty? You’s a good kitty…Purrrrrrrrrrrr………
My Mom called me at work because our German Shepherd had gone missing and she was worried. So I came home and started looking for him. I called his name and I heard a “yip”. I followed it to the back of our property and there he was, stuck, just like Bucky, in a door. He had gone into the shed through the hole in the door and when he tried to get out he got stuck. I had to use a hacksaw to cut the lower part of the door off to get him out. Poor old thing. At least we never had to worry about it happening again because I demolished that door. :-)
Satch’s variability between sharp on the uptake and completely clueless reminds me of my cat, who as a baby was hotboxed by the teens who smoked in the room where mama cat had her kittens. Sometimes he’s mellow and sweet, other times, he’s all over the place. Something isn’t wired right.
this happens to a character in a book called ‘a tangled web" by l.m. montgomery. he decides the hole in the wall is big enough to be used as a shortcut. he finds out he’s wrong. just when he’s sure he’s going to be stuck all night in the cold with the tide coming in, his ex-best friend comes along. after various sharp words the friend pulls him out.
