I tried to do this with a box of chocolate covered cherries my mom got me for Easter one year. There were 12 of them in the box and I ate one a day until my sister finished them off after gobbling down all of her own. Naturally she didn’t have to replace them. If I’d stolen hers I would have. All she had to do was make a fake apology. Made me wish I’d gobbled them too.
