No baseball/softball player holds a bat like Cassie is doing in P1 – even when just standing around. She needs some coaching from Steve. Where is he by the way? Just dropped off the face of the earth, or at least Milford. Also, it looks like the girls in P1 are wearing a glow in the dark headband and collar. The story and the art stink. If I weren’t addicted to this strip, I’d stop reading.
HooDad is right. I think it is time for all of us to admit we are addicted. Yes, we are ‘Thorpaholics’. The first step to recovery is admitting that we are powerless. Now we have to find a higher power-how about Steve Luhm? Any other ideas?
Recognize that despite our helplessness, Gil Thorpe provides a portrayal of life that transcends reality. Check out the response of Milford Mountain and the Molly Kinsella reference. Kinsella is the author of “The Great Iowa Baseball Conspiracy”, and that spawned Field of Dreams, and that is about the romance of baseball, and now in GT we have baseball and romance, so we complete the circle of life and believe Disney to be right and look forward to the next episode.
I think that our real obsession with the comic strip is not the comic strip itself but the comments brought on by the readers. The strip is the accommodator to bring out the creativity. My thanks to the creators for giving us all so much to comment on. If it was well drawn with excellent plots we wouldn’t have near the things to talk about.

Calling anything on this strip artwork is an insult to artists. If you look back the art in the 1980s and afterwards was much better.

If you want another opinion on the artwork, just ask Jaymie Thorp!

Step 3 - Forgiveness. For all the nasty comments we’ve all written. Step 4 - Acceptance.
In other words, keep those comments flowing!

I think somewhere in there we have to make the decision to turn our will and our lives over to the higher power as we know him – the GilFather, maybe?

Girl one to girl two in P1: “Look at the dumb bleeep Cassie - she doesn’t even now how to hold a bat!”
Girl one to girl two: “yes, let us continue to give her the frostiest of receptions!”

Hey, one way to get rid of some of that frost that Cassie is feeling is for Molly Kinsella to throw some high heat when she steps in the batter’s box.

Step 5: Forsake all expectations of closure!

P2: You can tell these guys are not bad guys – no cracks in the walls.

We haven’t had a season-changing transfer for awhile. And, I’d love to see Brick House come back.

The werewolf will not practice on Friday nights or on Saturdays.
