No way, that type of double play is nearly impossible. These writers need some basic sport training. The batter must have been walking to first base. And why didn’t the guy on third take out the catcher?

The ol’ 4-2-3 double play. Happens all the time. I think the Cubs turned one in the ‘45 World Series, which they lost to the Tigers.

Common as an 8-2-4 double play I would say.

In panel #1 the pitcher has no sweat band on his right wrist. In panel #3 he does. Or maybe he slipped on his Michael Jackson victory glove. Pitcher actually looks like Roger Clemmons.

He needs to cut off his sleeves but he’s definitely got the guns to be a young Klu.

Not impossible if the second baseman were cheating in for a play at the plate, but why would he? Normal strategy would be to be further back, for a 4-6-3 DP.

And there are PLENTY of 423 or 623 DP’s. isn’t the catcher facing the wrong way to throw to first base? Looks like a wind up to go to third, unless this is the peg around the infield following the play…

But do you peg it around on a game ending play? I never did, then again I only played High School ball
