It was a good story, mainly because of the very lifelike golf parent Carl Peake. I was disappointed that the climax was so feeble, but that happens in the wonderful world of comics.
It was also a change from the middle-class team sports, and the school background of the kids who hang around the Bucket.
Back to Milford High next week?
You two better not go to far that’s where the birdies and the beeses are located! Sorry for that one. Nah, not either. At least the senior came out ahead.
Maybe Kemper and Torrey won’t have to worry about “telling daddy.” It wouldn’t surprise me if Daddy received a “visit” from Thorp’s thugs during the Valley Championships, complete with going for a “little talk” on County Road, followed by a permanent rest at Carbone Cave.
I give Thorp complete credit for how this all turned out for the best.
So, is the next strip going to include Thorp finally drinking that pitcher of lemonade with Mimi, or do we go straight to the practice field to learn about which miracle transfer will be joining the lineup?

In P1 is looks like some people are actually praying, or at least bowing in reverent humbleness to the greatness that is the Valley Juniors Victor.

Just like when I taught my girlfriend to play golf….we started with the irons and then went to the woods.

in P3 Torrey looks a lot like Sophia Coppola.

Nice trophy in P1 with the dinky golf ball on top. The hands in P1 represent all the Thorp comic readers that are glad this story line is OVER!
Time for Gil to celebrate with Mimi before football.

Is Chris trying to tell Torrey he likes it “rough”?
Carl was right all along, Kemper choked and Chris is a WINNER!

Torrey is like one of Seinfelds girlfriends. Looks good one moment and then it looks like she was hit with the ugly stick.

I wonder if Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo fame could find the missing Thorp children.

Anything new on the amber alert for the little Thorps, I’m starting to get scared
