G’day Jason, Dry, JFri, Ottod, Meggsiefan, Frank and all Meggsie’s mates.
Got one up on you this time Ginger. Many (too many) moons ago I was playing cricket with the school. The teacher was the wicketkeeper and because I had not hit any balls he leaned forward, rubbed my head with his gloved hand and told me to, “Come on, hit the ball hard”.
I hit it alright. It went for a six out of the ground, over a nearby railway line and disappeared from sight. Walked past the site a few days ago and wondered if anyone ever found the ball that was hit there around 60 years ago. Maybe I should have another look and with any luck be able to reconvene the longest cricket match in history.
There is some sort of rule about ‘Lost ball’ but as we didn’t have another we simply gave play away and went home - the event was for school sports afternoon. Without the declaration of ‘Lost Ball’ there may be a chance the match is still in force - (dials number of Guiness Book of Records).

G’day Jason, JFri, Usfellers, ottod and Meggsiefan!
As I know nothing about Cricket, I shall refrain from commenting on such! :-)
It would be curious though, if Usfellers cricket ball would be found after all these years!
