Funny how it’s always nephews/nieces, never children of their own. I’m not sure if it’s the old Lucy/Ricky thing that they just don’t want kids thinking about how they would have babies (as they aren’t married) and the cartoon companies don’t want to go down that path (as the dating adds some element of humor and optional “going solo” episodes).Also, Mickey has a brother… Mortimer. ;-) I think there was a “pre-Donald” duck as well… don’t recall his name. And I know there were like a dozen pre-Goofy dog-like characters that fell by the wayside… but at least Goofy got a son (and no wife that I recall them talking about). LOL!
