I grew up being made to eat boiled spinach. No matter how many times I had an allergic reaction and vomited it back up it was always on my plate until I went off to uni. I cannot eat cooked asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and spinach without some nausea and therefore I do not eat them cooked. But I did find a better way to eat the b. sprouts. I slice them in half and grill them and then drizzle clarified butter over them. Raw broccoli and cauliflower are best served with cheese sauce and spinach works well in a salad. I don’t eat asparagus raw or cooked. YMMV
