Weird, the things that breeze through your mind without warning. This cartoon brought to mind an episode of the old TV series, Julia. Mom (Diahann Carroll) and school officials were concerned because Corey, the little boy, always painted pictures in class using black paint. The kid was Black, and his father had been killed in Vietnam, so everyone was worried about the significance of the black paint — self-esteem issues? Depression? Turned out (when they finally got around to asking the kid) that it was because he was short — all the taller kids grabbed the more colorful paints before he could, and black was the only color left!

I keep jugs of water in the fridge so I can have a cold drink when I want it. The cats appreciate it.

He didn’t mention to the shrink that housemate friend is very fastidious in his cleanliness, scrubs the toilet after each use, so I have no problem…
