    Serious Note: Apparently the business is being sold, and the representing union wisely negotiated a binding successor clause. Successor clauses seek to bind a purchasing employer to all the terms and conditions of the existing collective bargaining agreement in the event of the sale, assignment, or other transfer of business ownership.

    One major steel company is involved in this situation right now. Thousands of employees at one location are due to be affected.
