The dog biscuits probably taste better than biscotti.

Or will he?

For those of you not “in the know”, biscotti are meant to be dunked in coffee!!! AND, they DO have flavor; you just never ate the homemade kind!!!!! Those store-bought ones are probably petrified by the time somebody buys them!!!!!

Is biscotti from “biscattus”, perhaps an obscure form of the of the Latin word for petrified+bread? Or maybe, from bi+scattus, which suggests another meaning entirely.

I remember a “Frasier” episode where the waitress brought Martin a biscotti and in a very condescending tone, told him it was like a cookie.
