Had a bat get into our house in San Francisco. Got between the window and our drapes. Then flew into the rest of the house and we closed the doors to the area in the living room. Had to call animal control to come and rescue it.
“This could have been a chance to debunk the stereotypical fear of bats instead of perpetuating it.”
The thing with bats is not the risk of being bitten (thought there is that, sometimes), the real risk is that the little buggers have sharp claws, which tend to get tangled on one’s hair. I’m sure this is worse for the bat than the human victim, because they are so fragile, but even so … I don’t think we should take bats to bats, but, I’d prefer not to share tight space with a confused one.

The blonde girl looks to be drawn in a more traditionally cartoony style; interesting.

Had a bat in my place once. Found a tennis racket was more effective: Harder for the bat’s sonar to pick up than a baseball bat.
