Any book that’s not a text book or subject of a book report can be fun. I’m currently enjoying “I, Robot.” I re-read “The Martian Chronicles” 43 years after reading it for a school book report and enjoyed it thoroughly.
It’s possible to have fun at the beach?! While the beach ain’t my thing and I’d much rather read than… umm… whatever it is that people do at beaches, the beach is a horrific place to read. While she might be OK under an umbrella, trying to read at the beach without an umbrella or sunglasses is a good way to be temporarily blinded.

Fun is relative to age.

I go down to the beach in the late afternoon with a book, a chair, and an adult beverage. It’s bliss!
