Cooked spinach is as appetizing as cooked lettuce. Forget Popeye, a little in a tossed salad is good; as a main dish, forget it.

I don’t know about having it as a “casserole”, but I find cooked spinach by itself to be very enjoyable. Add salt & butter, and I could easily eat a whole plateful.
