Maybe Grandma should “encourage” the little darlings to carry some of the items.

If they want to go badly enough, force them to carry some of the things.

Must be Mellow Monday for me. I’ve liked far too many cartoon panels. Tuesday will be different maybe.

The consensus here is that you need to get those kiddos to take some responsibility! Bu in the end, you know it’s we who do the planning, buy the groceries, make the sandwiches, carry the heavy stuff and can’t relax to keep an eye on them. Someday they will realize how awesome you were.

Uh-uh, Grandma, you get those kids to help carry stuff. That’s only right.

I do believe that Grandma is bringing that on herself.
