Sad to say, cursive writing is dead.
The so-called ‘Common Core’ curriculum agreed to, once upon a time, by many states, does not support teaching cursive. However, Virginia, California, Florida and Texas do.
Cursive, done legibly is quite beautiful. And while it is not written much any longer, it did wonders for building the mind and fine motor control.
