Some people shouldn’t vote — especially on “American Idol.”

You vote based on advertising lies that help you select the lessor of two weasels.

If you don’t vote, don’t complain. That’s reserved for those of us who did vote and didn’t like the outcome. If you don’t like your choices, vote anyway, even if it’s a write-in for Mickey Mouse, because in many places, not voting will get you purged from the rolls and you may not be able to vote when you want to in the future. And, oh, by the way, not voting is an abdication of your responsibility as a citizen and you still have to live with the results.

In Australia you must vote or pay a fine. Excellent idea!

Sure, if you can get two thirds of the states to agree to a constitutional amendment. Also, if there is a requirement to have at least one candidate in each election who is not a scumbag.

PLEASE VOTE! In 2016 a little over 60k voted blue, a little over 60k voted red, and get this, over 120k didn’t vote! Didn’t vote! People fought and bled for the right to vote. Use it. This time more than ever!
