I really, really HATE people who abuse or hurt animals in any way! That’s why I’m a vegetarian for the last 20-some years. I just read about 3 activists got arrested and were slapped with huge fines and bail fees. The police could not care about the dying animal they were trying to rescue. The government of the USA has also started restricting people who are suffering intense, chronic pain to almost nothing to make a “war on opioids” because there is a “Crisis” of overdoses. Coming Jan 1, the total amount that can be prescribed is the equivalent of 20 milligrams of morphine. I know of 2 veterans who have been given 240 mg per day for years. I suppose it possibly reduces the extreme horrors of war that so many have been through as well as the physical pain.This is similar to animal abuse and I expect to see an epidemic of suicides amongst veterans.
