Dean: "Examples of Hollywood plagarism in popular movies," a report by Dean. Case in point: Let's take a scene from George Lucas' "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," 1980...this is a scene between Princess Leia and Han Solo...and I paraphrase...now let's look, at a scene from Margaret Mitchnell's "Gone With The Wind," published in 1936. Sound familiar? Dean: Now, another scene from the same "Star Wars" movie... Here again, an oddly similiar scene from "Gone With The Wind".... Coincidence? You be the judge. I thank you. Teacher: Very nice, Dean. Unfortunately, you were supposed to do a report on "The Binary Fission of Amoebas." Dean: Amoebas?!! Good lord, man, I can't get into that!
Interesting. I watched a history of star wars by sfdebris on youtube (highly recommended), and this wasn’t brought up. Maybe it never went anywhere.
