Dean: I was watching this show last ngiht that was running "Youtube" videos... and there was this one video of a guy who lost control of his bicycle and smashed right into a brick wall really hard. Normally a scene like that would shock me, but the camera cut to a shot of a laughing and clapping studio audience... and you know what? I started laughing too. Heart: So? Dean: So I wonder if we're being conditioned to think that watching people getting hurt is entertainment. Heart: Are you sure you weren't watching the news? Dean: Maybe... the guy on the bicycle did sort of look like Anderson Cooper.
Didn’t this country get meaner about the time “America’s Funniest Home Videos” became popular?
