I think that Kevin looks suspiciously like a dummy that appeared in an episode of “The Twilight Zone”. It was not only alive, but quite evil, managing to drive its owner (played by Jackie Cooper) to a life of crime and ultimate destruction, then hooking up with an equally malevolent little girl in the end.
